Not Another Appointment-Smile Brilliant Review

As a mom, I like to get our appointments over and done with. There was a time in my life when I would have at least two appointments a week for the kids. Not including sports and after school activities. So yes, when it’s time to take care of myself I’m always saying to myself. Not another Appointment.

I was contacted by Smile Brilliant to review their teeth whitening product, and boy did I feel as if I won the jackpot!! Growing up as a child I hated my smile. You would rarely see me smiling in any of my pictures and once I became an adult. I began to fall in love with my smile. However, I noticed that my teeth were really yellow and were not white at all.

I pretty much tried everything from baking soda to teeth whitening strips. You name it, I probably have tried it!! So I was ecstatic when I learned that I would not have to make an appointment and go in their office to get the process started.

Once my Smile Brilliant kit arrived in the mail (their service was super-fast) I followed the directors and shipped my mold out. Within that week my trays arrived, and they fit like a glove. Prior to putting the trays in your mouth, you floss & brush your teeth. Add desensitizing gel to your tray (leave on for 30 minutes) brush your teeth and add whitening gel and leave on for up to 3 hours.

You can keep the product on for up to 3 hours and yes, I keep mine on for that long. I love how they include desensitizing gel!

I love how I can pretty much complete daily task with the teeth whitening trays on and I don’t have to leave out my house if I do not want to.

I can blog, do a supermarket run, bring my son to his football practice and games!! Yup, I take full advantage of my time.

Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap:
This weekend was simply amazing. I attended a conference for girls ages 8-18 with my nonprofit on Saturday. I went to dinner with my sister and brother in-law at Bonefish on Sunday. Plus my tween had his first jamboree on Saturday which I unfortunately had to miss due to my conflicting schedule.

Anywho… how was your weekend?

Thanks For Stopping By!

Menu Plan: Week of 8/18

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Did anything fun? Next week my baby will be starting middle school. It feels as if we are so off schedule with everything during the summer months. It definitely feels as if we have more structure during the school year. As I prep for next week. I know my meals will probably be a little off this week.

Anywho… what’s on the menu this week?

Monday: Shrimp Ceviche

Tuesday:  Fried Cheese Ravioli’s

Wednesday: Baked Mac & Cheese

My Trip to IKEA #DIY

I’m not sure if I mentioned this. However, the closest Ikea is close to an hour away from me (with no traffic).Usually when I pass by to go to NY or surrounding towns. It’s usually during the time I’m not driving the van or I’m unable to stop. Well, yesterday I was determined to stop, and I told the Mr. that I would be stopping, LOL (I wanted to warn him) I had my catalog circled with the items I had interest in. My walking shoes, comfortable clothing (hey the store is HUGE, you have to prepare)

By the time I went through the first floor. I was ready to remodel my entire house. I tried my best to snap a couple of pictures of displays that caught my eye.

It’s amazing how a couple of details can turn your drab living space into a fab living space.
So of course as soon as I came home I was in design mode. I purchased two rugs, in hopes to redecorate our front porch. I actually front runner mates that I tuned into rugs buy connecting them. I will try to show pictures.  I also found these super cute white lanterns to brighten up the space as well.
PS: I love multi-functional pieces. The picture above is a daybed that can be used as a sofa, bed or two twin size beds.

Anywho, any new DIY projects going on? Is Ikea close to your home?

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

This week has been bitter sweet with temps feeling more like late fall...

I plan on catching up on the blogger world. I may also create a content calendar. (ok, don't pass out, I know I'm probably one of the only blogger without one). On another note, My Michael started football this week which he is super excited about.

My container vegatable garden has been doing great. I plan on doing a update post soon.

Did I mention that this year he will be entering middle school? Where did time go?

( this picture was taken when he was six)

Anywho, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Any plans this weekend?

Menu Plan Monday-Week of 8/4

Happy Monday!

Since I'm primarily cooking for myself. It's really hard not to cook in large portions, when I'm so use to it. So, I usually have a good amount of leftovers. I try eating them for lunch, which usually doesn't happen because I'm on the go or in my zone working. So, I plan on cutting down my portion sizes as much as I can when cooking. I'm also very excited because I have fresh organic veggies coming in. YAY. I will defiantly keep you guys updated...

Anywho… what’s on your menu this week?

Monday: Open Sandwich ( I have some fresh cherry tomatoes that I can't wait to use)

Tuesday:  Veggie Gyro

Wednesday: Spaghetti with sausage

Thursday: Baked Cheese Ravioli's

Friday: Veggie Patti

Saturday: Sausage (semi vegan) Grinder

Sunday: Vegetarian Chimichangas
